Heartwarming Christmas. =)

Christmas Eve!

Met up with my secondary schmates for dinner and present exchange! ^^
We had our dinner at Swensens..

my almond lamb chop! super delicious with mint dip! =P

After all these photo takin, we left swensens for present exchange. But where?! Couldn't really find a suitable place and hence we end up at coffee bean instead. We ordered 3 cakes and ended up like this...

Later on we decided to catch a midnight movie before heading home.

Initally all of us wanted to watch Night at the museum, but there were only left with single seats.. so me and jy decided to watch curse of golden flower instead. watchin movie alone seems so weird.. =/

A great movie but with a lousy endin. uh? did gong li die? I even saw some indians watchin this movie.. they're also puzzled about the ending.

Its really a great and special christmas this year. Though its not some partying but still we had a heartwarming session together.. it feels great. =)

give urself a break! =)

omg,
work today was buzzling!
so damn many many many ppl.
and yet there's only 1 cook, 2 workers.
( 1 is busy with serving/taking orders/clearing/cashier, other 1 is dishwishing.) i'll definitely play the role in serving.. Nola, we helped each other out cuz our job is to do everything except the cooking.

But still, two person is not enough!
Anw, gonna stop working for the next 3 weeks. planning to give myself a rest and complete all my schwork. im laggin damn far behind the others!

Suddenly i recalled of one of my encounters with 1 hokkien-speaking customer.

Auntie: xiaomei ah, ji gey si simi?
(looking at our display pizza)
Me: orh, si pizza lai eh.
Auntie: o, wo ai ji gey.
Me: oh, le ai simi size eh ?
(i wanna laugh when i speak out this sentence sia. -.-)
Auntie: ho wo dua eh lor.
(pointing to the regular size)
Me: le ai simi flavour le?
Auntie: wu kua eh bo?
(this makes me wanna laugh even harder. LOL)
Me: wu ah, wu kua eh.
Auntie: wo ai ji gey.. wu buai mee ah? wo ai hum jio juei juei eh hor. go ai leng puai le mong zhui.. gum sia ah..

Pardon my hokkien, for the english version,

Auntie: Hey girl, what's this?
(looking at our display pizza)
Me: Oh it's pizza.
Auntie: Give me one.
Me: Oh what size would u like?
Auntie: Give me the bigger size one.
(pointing to the regular size)
Me: And your choice of pizza ?
Auntie: Got chicken one or not?
Me: Got ah, got chicken one.
Auntie: Give me one.. Got sell noodles ah? I wan one with alot of chillis.. and also two ice lemon tea. thanks ah.

Its just one of my "memorable encounter" with the customers. The "kua" realli makes me laugh. haha.. =D

Tmr is dong ji! Every year of this day grandma and i would make tang yuan for dong ji.. its quite fun actually. And then the next day eating our very own self made tang yuan. (although it doesnt taste tat great but its still better than those bought outside. ^^)

but sadly, this year we arent making any and i asked grandma why. She said its because of grandpa's death this yr..
So there wun be animore tang yuan making for next 2 yrs! =(

Christmas exchange present and countdown! i hope it would be fun! =/

haha..had my last gems/geog test on tues and im late for half an hour! lucky the paper is 1h45min. managed to finish the paper in an hour. hope all is well..

watched eragon and flyboys. flyboy is so exciting! lol. somemore its 2h+ show. the intro is too long and borin but all the shooting was exciting. its kinda worth it show. :) remember to catch it!

I started to ponder about friendship recently, which i didnt really think through about until now. In the past im just glad that i had this whole bunch of frens whom i can always luff with together. Ever since i entered poly, i found another group of fun-loving frens. They are nice as well. Den i begin to think about the importance of friends.. Its actually same as those stated in all the chain emails. They are really those that care for you. Not only does they share ur laughter, but most importantly ur tears. They might not always be there for you, but you know that they are there with you. That's when you are really glad that you have such frens with you.
=)))

sometimes being less is more than enough.

another 300bucks spent today. total would add up to 1000+. hope all is worth it man.. if not i gonna burn down the clinic someday.

hai. it gonna be a sad 18th birthday next yr...

The Strictest Diet

im back!
sorry for all the delay!
i tink everyone's bored of comin back my blog and keep seeing the same "rush hour" post already. duno why but im damn tired la! super lack of sleep for past few weeks. always sleep without switchin off the computer.. the lights.. and sometimes the tv. -.- mum's angry.

Anw, i got myself the strictest diet.

The Restricted List.
Rice
Noodle
All fried food
Coffee
Tea
Chocolate

The Safe List.
Porridge
Bread
Mee Fen
Hor Fan

Not that i wanted to.. but i have to. Imagine everyday goin home to eat porridge for dinner....... No more mac, kfc, and my fav long john & chocolate! But nvm, now i changed to eating pizza and subway.. even hawkers arent the available choice for me. Pathetic. At least, its healthy....

Holiday next week! but submission again after sch reopenin. ..... i'll look forward to the year end 3 months holiday instead. comin up is christmas! i love joyful season like this. =D
which also means new yr is coming, i cant find for this freakin year to pass!

School has been pretty scandalous recently.. some of us were feelin so extra! been doin so much microstation work tat we even dreamt of lines! yes! omg we're horrified.
Work is starting to get boring .. and the boss is super emo recently. -.-

and the recent star awards is so ungrand. and huang jun xiong got in top 10 male artistes! woo! ^^
